NUTCRACKER AUDITIONS!  SEPTEMBER 19TH

12:30-1:30      Dancers age 7-10.    Full ballet class.  Ballet experience required.  No pointe   work.  Audition for soldiers, party children, Franz' friends, mice and Next Generation.

1:30-2:30         Dancers ages 11-18.   Full ballet class. Ballet experience required. Pointe work for those roles on pointe.  Audition for Party Children, Franz' friends, Clara's friends, young adults, mice, angels, Snowflakes, Act II corps and Next Generation.

2:30-3:00          Audition for Mother Goose's Tumblers ages 6-18.  Must be able to back handsprings, splits, headstands, front and back walkovers and aerial tricks.

Students should arrive 30 minutes before the audition in order to complete paperwork, receive their number and pay the $15 audition fee.
For girls:  black leotard, pink tights and appropriate shoes with hair up.
For boys: white t-shirt, black tights, shorts or bicycle pants and appropriate shoes.


FEAST & FASHION   OCTOBER 1 @ 7 PM

Expect fabulous food, great conversation and gorgeous fashions by Ilene's For Fashions; all worn by Gainesville celebrities - artists of DANB, members of the business community, community leaders and personalities from UF.   All proceeds will benefit the educational programs of DANB, providing for over 4,000 young people, disabled, at-risk and underserved individuals.

Tickets are $50 and available at Pofahl Studios and Ilene's For Fashions.



3RD ANNUAL BENEFIT PERFORMANCE

Click on Next Generation to see program!  Choreography by Cristina Helena (guest artist from Brazil), Kim Tuttle, Beth Ann Maslinoff, Courtney Holmes, Judy Skinner, Anna Long and 2 works of Petipa set by Andre Valladon.

An opportunity to see talented young dancers in 16 dances as well as performances by 7 guest artists from DANB.   Tickets $10 at the studio, Arabesque and at the door.


BORN TO DANCE...For the Young and Young At Heart! 

October 3 @ Phillips Cente for Performing Arts.

If you always thought you were born to dance - or just wanted to try it - this is for you!

One seminar is designed for intermediate to advanced students ages 10 and up.  The other is for adults - no experience necessary!

  • 3 PM mainstage    Choreography with Beth Ann Maslinoff
Adult Schedule:

  • 4 PM Above & main stage             Choreography with Judy Skinner


Tickets $75 at Pofahl Studios or at the door.

















Parking:

Please do not block the circle by double parking, or parking in the circle.  If there are no spaces left in the circle, utilize the street or the adjacent parking in the lot across the street.  If you are going to take time dropping off, please do park rather then blocking the drive.     Thank you!


You can help in the following ways:

1.   Make sure your child attends class!  It isn’t fair to them or the rest of the class if they get behind learning dances.

2.Make sure your child is on time—wearing the appropriate
dancewear and shoes and with their hair up.   (Try getting to class 10-15 minutes ahead for younger children!)

3.Try to be respectful of the class in session by keeping voice levels and other noises at a low level.
